Even though this season of the Creek hasn't been the best ever, I really like watching it. I missed this show! Anyway, Audrey now has a job at the restaurant where Pacey works. She's a waitress. And Pacey got promoted. Good for him! He's now a chef! Cool! Now before I even saw the preview for next week's ep, I KNEW Pacey and Audrey were gonna hook up. C'mon, it was inevitable. I'm just so glad Busy Phillips is on the show this year. They should make her a regular. She rocks! So Pacey and Audrey drag Joey out to a party on campus. They're all like, Joey you should let loose (hello, this girl just got straight A's her first semester in college!), but she's like, no thanks. Well, it's not 2 minutes later, when she sees uber-hottie Charlie (Jen's cheating ex) playing in the band. And one things leads to another and before you know it, Joey is up on stage singing with the band and then kissing Charlie. All while being fully aware of who he is. But thank goodness she finally cut loose! But in the end, she didn't go home with him or even give him another kiss. So that was good. But I think it's cuz she's saving her kissed for her English Lit professor. Uh-huh!!! But more on that next week. And Dawson finally brought Jen home to mom. So now mom knows they are dating. And Dawson is actually going to move in Gram's attic and start going to film school in Boston! I can't believe that Gram's is gonna go along with Jen and Dawson living together while they are dating, but we haven't heard her say yes yet. So we shall see! Well, now the gang is all going to be reassembled in Boston and their lives will all be entwined again. Aaahhhh. Can't wait to see how Joey feels about Audrey hooking up with Pacey |

So now that Dawson is trying to get over
his dad's death, he takes a trip to Boston, to visit Joey. Joey is freaking
about how to "entertain" Dawson and still be sorta somber
too. So she rents a bunch of movies. One of them being Charlie's Angels,
and whaddya know, it had a huge car crash scene in it
not so cool.
Well, after she felt like a complete terd, Dawson felt like going out.
So they go to this party a Joey's writing/english professor's house.
Time-out: I totally think Joey is gonna have a "thing" with
this guy at some point this year. And second, she's on some team of
his to go through the old books and poems of an old, dead woman writer,
so that's what the party is for
to celebrate that they get to
dig through her stuff. Time-in. But after a weird few minutes Dawson
wants to bail. And he flies home feeling better, so he says. |

This was a really sad episode, and I don't have much to write about actually. Dawson's dad, Mitch, died in a car accident. It sucks. So this whole ep revolved around his funeral, and all of Dawson's friends support. Also, there were these really sweet "memories" that each person had about Mitch, and he'd come back on screen to relive them. Dawson remembered his dad giving him his first videocamera. Joey remembered Mitch putting up the famous ladder to Dawson's window for her. Pacey remembered Mitch teaching him how to drive. Dawson was feeling really guilty about the accident and her thought it was his fault cuz they had a fight that night. But then Pacey took Dawson to the accident sight (a little brutal) and showed him how the other driver caused the crash. It was all sad, but sweet. I also liked how the whole front of the show before the credits, had no talking, just music, and that same music carried into the opening. It was a nice touch. |

Cool thing right off the bat the show open pics were changed and now it's much more collegiate. Looked very cool. OK, so one of my pet peeves came up when Jen was chatting on the college radio station with her new (AND HOT!) boy-toy, Charlie. She referred to Abercrombie & Fitch as AMbercrombie. Note, there is not supposed to be an M in the word. Sorry, but it just ircked me. This was actually a pretty good ep, too. Dawson finally listened to Joey's "I'm dumping you" message while he was standing in her dorm room. Ooopsy. So natch, they were fighting through most of the ep. Dawson spent the last day of his visit hanging with Audrey, Joey's roomie. She's such a big flirt that I thought the 2 of them were gonna hook up, but that was a no go. Joey spent the day trying to drop a writing class, but it never happened. But when Joey finally wanted to talk and make-up with Dawson, he was already at the airport, Cali bound. So there was a big, emotional talk thing at the boarding gate and when push came to shove, Dawson decided not to get on the plane. Woo-hoo. So looks like he's moving back to Beantown. So the Joey/Dawson romance might actually last for another ep or 2 maybe. |

As I mentioned before, Jen has a new man,
Charlie. And Jack
well we hardly saw Jack this week
very sad.
But thankfully we did get to see
PACEY!!! Now, I'm not thrilled
about how they've split
Pacey off into his own little mini-series of Dawson's Creek. He belongs with the other Creek kids, that's why we love him. So I hope he meshes back into their lives soon. But for now, who the hell is this Melanie chick he's dating? Pacey would never date a rich, snobby girl like her. Where the hell did she come from? And when is she gonna be sent back there? She just came out of nowhere, which made the whole Pacey storyline become even more out-there. So I don't have much news on her, except I guess she was on the boat that Pacey was crewing this summer. Whatever, they can keep her. Just get Pacey back into the loop so we can watch him beat down Dawson to win Joey. Hee hee. |

OK, while I was really happy to see my
Creek pals again, I actually had a lot of trouble with this episode. Too
many things were WAY out of touch with reality. For instance, Dawson,
a film school freshman,
But ok, not everything was bumming me out. Time for love. I love that Busy Phillips is Joey's new roommate, Audrey. Also, loved the cameo from Bring It On cheerleader Whitney as a studio exec. Loved Jack and Jen and even Grams. PS - was it me or did we see way too little of Pacey? I hope this hiding out thing he's doing is just a short phase, cuz he is a big reason I love this show. |

SEASON
FINALE!!
|
| Yes, as you might expect, this was a teary goodbye kind of episode. I mean hello, Dawson and Joey were saying goodbye! |
|
Oh yeah, elsewhere in Capeside, Grams,
Jack, and Jen spent their last night in Grams' house before they all
pack up and move to NY. Heehee, have fun with the old lady. And Pacey
made a cameo appearance from somewhere in "paradise", aboard
the boat he's crewing. Honestly, he looked a little scruffy and chubby,
but the tropical shirt was cute. |

Thank goodness, Pacey and Joey are trying to reconcile. I was afraid that I'd see Dawson and Joey making out by the end of the episode, but that didn't happen. Pacey was searching for his sign about what to do with his life. (Gee, sounds familiar) Later that day, Pacey was invited to Joey's college party by the Dean of Admissions, so they both thought that maybe Pacey was gonna be offered some kind of charity/scholarship opening at Joey's college. Turns out, the Dean wanted to offer Pacey a job as a deckhand on his boat for the summer. Oopsy. |
Anyhoo
Dawson got word that Gretchen was planning to skip town and head off on
a road trip by herself. So he decides to throw himself at her feet and
try to secure the shotgun spot on her trip. But if he did go with her,
he'd miss graduation. OK c'mon
Dawson, the dude who makes the biggest
deal out of every life moment is gonna skip graduation? No way. But the
night before they were supposed to leave, Gretchen returned Dawson's yearbook,
with a message about how she thought Dawson should stay and enjoy his
graduation and his time with Joey. Can we say DUMPED!! Yikes. |
Oh yeah, Grams decided to sell the house to pay for Jen's college tuition. Jen was then like "I feel bad, cuz you're gonna move into an old folks home". But it turns out that Jen was really just feeling sad about leaving her Grams to go away to college, so . She asked Grams to move to New York to be near Jen at college. WHAT A CROCK!! What college freshman wants their Grams to tag along while they party it up? Does anybody know of one? Doubt it. |

| Did somebody say prom??? Capeside High held their prom on a boat this year. No, not a booze cruise (well except for Jen, the wild 'n crazy girl from New York, who snuck on like million airplane-size bottles). Jen decided to ask Toby to go to the prom with Jack, of course without Jack's permission, so to get back at her, Jack told Drew that Jen was dying to go to the prom with him. I've never laughed do hard as when Drew showed up at Jen's door and she had that I'm-gonna-spew look on her face. (Actually, Jack offered Drew $50 to follow Jen around all night and annoy her pretty good thinking). Jack had his annual boy-to-boy kiss with Toby this year. It was no slobbering biggie, but still made the press. I was actually pissed off that it was SPOILED for me on Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood. | |
Another
funny moment
Pacey was in charge of hiring the limo for the gang
to ride in (which is a BAD idea). So what showed up at their doorstep??
The hooptie limo. We're talking straight outta Sanford & Son. (If
you listened closely enough you could almost hear the theme music playing
in the background
kidding) |

Did
anything else happen that night???Um
.well, a little thing
PACEY DUMPED JOEY!!! AND
GRETCHEN DUMPED DAWSON!!! Two dumpings
in one night? I smell aJoey and Dawson reunion! I don't quite know how
to feel about this yet. I really love Pacey. But if they're doing this
to make it so everybody can stay in Capeside next year instead of going
to colleges all over the place, I'll accept it. |

| Ok, why is it that on Capeside High's "senior ditch day", everybody has these life- altering insane adventures? I think I my senior skip day I went to the mall. Pacey and Drew (an unlikely pair) had what I would consider the most close-to-actually-happening ditch day adventure they went to some sleaze bar and got really drunk. Not much action there, except Drew puking. | |
Dawson "Snore" Leary , after realizing he was the only loser not doing anything on ditch day (hello, he was sitting at home!) decided he and Gretchen would go on a "spontaneous" car trip. They drive 6 hours and he gets a flat. (hee hee) After walking to the nearest town and failing to return with a new tire, the couple snuggle up to a fire, which Gretchen is amazed that Dawson started with some wet matches. Hello, is it me or couldn't they have used the cigarette lighter in Dawson's car??? |
|
So Joey and Jen. They take a train into New York City to visit Jen's
creep-ola dad. Now, living in New York, I have a little bone to pick
why is it that everytime people go visit NYC, they show the East Village?
Not all of us consider St. Marks Place to be the cream of the crop of
the city. But whatever. What gets me more is that here it is, nighttime
in the Big Apple and Jen and Joey are enjoying a gorgeous rooftop view
of all the city lights. OK, where can I sign up for the nighttime rooftop
excursion? That stuff just doesn't really happen so easily in the city,
well, unless you've got a really rich friend with a private roof terrace
(it's very very rare). |
OK, one final thing is it me or does it seem like Jen might be leaving the show? I don't know why I'm getting that vibe, but I am. |
