in the fairy tale
OK, so who is this Glenn guy? When did Paige get this new, FINE boyfriend? He's yummy! Anyway, I have to honest, this was not the best episode I've ever seen of Charmed, but it was alright. I think these past few episodes have focused too much on Paige and they need to get back to Phoebe and Piper more. But Paige has had this fairy tale in her head since she was a little kid, and now it's kind of come to life. Literally. Turns out Paige was actually the evil Enchanted Temptress from her fairy tale in her past life. Cool. There's this whole story about a prince and other people that don't really matter. But the coolest part about this ep, was watching Paige face her past life self. And let me tell you. It was a like a battle of "the tacky" versus "the tackier"… both need severe fashion lessons from Phoebe. But all's well that end's well. And actually, the big thing that came out of the ep, is that Paige has now moved into the Halliwell House. And she's moved into Prue's old room. And now the sisters are finally working together as the Power of Three. Awwww, how sweet. Now let's kick some demon butt, dammit!

Ok, so did anyody else notice that Cole was not in the show open this week? Charmed does this all this time.. they take people in and out of the open like it's nothing. So I'm assuming he'll be back, but you never know with these people.

Freddy Krueger as GamelAnyway, this was a really cute and enjoyable ep. The "A" plot was about this creepy old house wherein lived a hottie and nasty. See Paige always had a bad feeling about this house everytime she walked by it, so Phoebe went to check it out and got caught by this ugly, old nasty guy who shrinks girls with a wand makes them into little figurines. Sidenote: he was played by Freddy Krueger. So anyway, Paige lured Finn (the hot guy who lived there with the nasty man) out of the house so Phoebe and Leo could check it out. Turns out, Paige found out that the nasty old guy (aka Gamel) "made" Finn, kind of like Pinnocchio was made by Gepetto. PS - she lured Finn out of the house by sucking on a lollipop and using the line "Remember me, I'm the girl with the melons" (in reference to when they met at the supermarket). Well, eventually, Phoebe and Paige went back to the house to rescue Phoebe and they got shrunken too. They were all even really cute as 3" figurines covered in clay. Paige was the one who wound up saving them all cuz she orbed out of her clay and freed Phoebe and Piper. Woo-hoo!

the girls as tiny dolls
And then there was the "B" plot, which kind of had me laughing a little. Piper hired a manager to take over P3 (their nightclub) and turned it into a totally guido, hoochie, stripper club. Like the bartenders were doing dirty dances on the bar and there was tons of white gauze on the walls. It was sooooo tacky. And he changed the name of the bar to "The Spot". Blllggghh. But natch, Piper overruled it all in the end and P3 should be back to normal next week. The end.

Pheobe and Paige swapped bods
Did anybody else notice the heinous green eyeshadow on Paige? Ok, well, let's talk ep. The plot was sorta centered around this Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon family thing. There was a Chinese daughter and her father and some evil guy who was jealous that he go beat for the job of Zen Master by a chick. He became this like water demon, where he could travel by a water portal in and out of limbo. What's limbo you ask? It's like purgatory. And then there's all this crap about how if evil guy has his soul captured by the dragonblade, then he'd die. The dragon blade is just some ancient chinese knife, that frankly, looks like a fancy steak knife. Then there's all this soul-switching between Piper and the chinese dad, and everyone goes down to limbo for a big final battle, and blah, blah, blah, evil guy dies. But so does the chinese dad… but he was all cool like "this is the natural way of life and I'll be reincarnated". It was interesting and all, but the funniest part of the ep was the soul-switching between Phoebe and Paige. Paige was stuck studying potions and doing research while Phoebe got to train and fight in the basement with hottie Cole. So, natch, Paige wished to see what that was like and she accidentally caused the swap. It was very much like this past week's ep of Angel. Hmmm. But this was pretty funny to watch Paige act like Phoebe and vice versa. Noteable line of the night: Evil demon's reference to Phoebe as "Black Belt Barbie". And Phoebe certainly had the best outfit of the night at the end of the ep, at the picnic… the white skirt and striped shirt… soooo cute!

Charmed

I am SOOOO glad that the opening credit sequence is back. I was really pissed off last week when there was nothing at the start of the show but a logo. But all is cool now. So Piper is really grieving over Prue's death and she's taking out her anger by like stalking every evil-doing demon in San Fran. She's just all about blowing up demon butt. Meanwhile, Paige (new sis Rose McGowan) is trying to learn to cope with being a witch. So when Phoebe shows her the Book of Shadows and she sees all the cool spells inside, of course she's gonna wanna try it out. So Paige steals the Book and proceeds to clear up a cute mailroom clerks acne and accidentally give herself like size DDDD boobs. They are so big that she needs Phoebe's help to drive her little VW bug home. Funny, but highly unlikely. So with Piper holding in all this anger, she starts turning into one of the demons she was fighting earlier that day… a Fury demon. They are a bunch of gorgeous girls that kill. So her transformation starts with some corn chip nail tips, then some long stringy hair weave, followed by some totally skimpy clothes and finally some facepaint. She actually looked really awesome, except for the facepaint. But blah, blah, blah, once Leo orbed her to Prue's gravesite she brokedown and started crying and yelling and her Fury days were over. But what really caught my attention was Prue's grave, which said she was 31. That's sorta weird seeing as how in real life I believe she was born in 1971, which would make her only 30. I guess I was expecting her character to be younger, like 28 maybe. Anyhoo, Piper accepted Paige as her sister and all's well that ends well… at least this week.

Piper Paige Phoebe
WHERE IS THE SHOW OPEN???!!!! Dammit, that is one of the BEST opening songs on any tv show. I am gonna be one pissed off puppy if it's gone forever and all we get is a lame logo.
Actually, nothing about this whole episode was really normal. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was a great show, but the whole thing was really sad since it was all about Prue's death. There was no funny stuff or silly spells, just lots of crying. And then there was Paige, the new long-lost half-sister played by Rose McGowan. Ok, she's no Shannen Doherty, but I guess she'll be alright. I mean, she's WAY paler than the other girls and her eyes are too big, but other than that I can believe it, I think. She showed up at Prue's funeral, after feeling some "connection" to her and that's when it all started to spiral. Turns out the girls' mom, aka Finola Hughes, got together with her white-lighter back in the day and they had a baby, Paige, but gave her up to a nun for adoption. She's got a cool power too. She can orb cuz she's half white-lighter and she can also orb objects into her possesion. Example, she lloked at a candle and said "come her candle" and it orbed into her hand. Cool. Should come in handy when fighting evil. But for now, she works at a local social service agency and hasn't fully accepted her destiny as one-third of "The Power Of Three". But I'm sure that's not far away… like next week maybe????

Prue turned into a dogYow. Looks like Cole has gone bad… AGAIN. He looks so damn ugly in that Balthazor make-up though… that's the worst part. Prue (weep weep - SEE NEWS & UPDATES) and the girls were on a quest to find a Banshee, which is a flying chick demon with white hair that yells with such a high pitch that only dogs can hear her coming. And she feeds on sad people… screaming so loud in their presence that all their blood vessels break and they die… EWW Gross! Well, to track the Banshee, Prue goes incognito as a pretty white dog. The funniest was watching Piper and Phoebe argue over who had to scoop her poop. Hee Hee.

But Phoebe became so saddened by losing Cole to the dark side, that the Banshee actually fed off her, which caused Phoebe to turn into a Banshee herself. Alyssa Milano is probably the only person who can actually look good with white hair and nasty old rag-clothes. So off she went, to find her next victim. But guess who it turned out to be… COLE! He was still really sad over losing her, even though he had tried to convert himself 100% to being bad again. But he couldn't!! Yeah!! I love Cole and Phoebe together. In the end, Phoebe and Cole realized that they can't be together cuz he is bad, but he said he would always love her. HOW SWEET!

the girls of Charmed

I loved it… the Charmed ones (and hottie Leo) get infected with the 7 deadly sins. Phoebe, my fave sister, was infected with LUST. Ha! She proceeded to throw herself at everyman in sight, which included her college professor, a delivery man, a policeman, and Piper's new husband, Leo. If I remember Piper's line correctly it was "Get your slutty hands off my husband". While Phoebe looked great as always, I didn't dig the curly haired bangs. Being semi-blessed with curly hair myself, I can tell ya, they aren't fun and they look really weird. Leo was infected with SLOTH. So her just sat on the couch eating chips and watching tv, claiming that orbing was making him too tired. Prue was given PRIDE. Yeah it made her sorta feel invicible, but there really wasn't anything too fun about it. The best infectee was Piper, who got GLUTTONY. She started off by ordering thousands of dollars of clothes for her and Leo at Bloomingdales and eventually, she filled up the entire house with QVC crap. It was like a warehouse of horrible as-seen-on-tv junk. As usual, the sisters vanquished the evil demon Lucas (who looked a lot like an actor I can't quite place) and peace was restored. I also love the fact that the girls totally make fun of their totally revealing outfits. Prue and Piper had to remind Phoebe to put on a shirt before she went to go meet with her college professor. Ok, it was funnier on the tv.
